Equilibrium Project [Characters]

Main Character Concept Explorations, done for the development of a visual style for a short animation called Equilibrium.
This is a Passion Projet that will be updated as progress is made.
Equilibrium is a short animation telling the story of a Gardening‌ ‌Robot‌ ‌and‌ ‌his‌ ‌small‌ ‌Magical‌ ‌Friend‌ named sprout. They ‌travel‌ ‌the‌ ‌post-apocalyptic ‌wasteland,‌ ‌healing‌ ‌the‌ ‌soil‌ ‌with‌ ‌each‌ ‌other's‌ ‌help.‌ ‌
They‌ ‌stumble‌ ‌upon‌ ‌a‌ ‌relic‌ ‌of‌ ‌the‌ ‌past‌ ‌threatening‌ ‌their‌ ‌life,‌ ‌ending‌ ‌with‌ ‌the‌ ‌robot‌ ‌sacrificing‌ ‌himself‌ ‌to‌ ‌save‌ ‌his‌ ‌small friend.‌

Immigrating from Iran to Canada, I saw a stark contrast between the care given to preserving and cultivating wildlife and natural environments. The government and people of Canada care about the land they live on, However, there is always room to improve and I hope by telling this story I can take part in inspiring people and bringing awareness to the crises that we are facing.
With the rise of global warming and humanity's threat to our planet, I want to tell this story as an allegory for the relationship between Nature and Man-Made. despite how much we would like to think otherwise, we are all part of nature, we can decide to live alongside it in equilibrium as one or get consumed by it with the passage of time.
